Resolve

As a parent, I started to think differently when my daughters were in elementary school. By the time the oldest reached middle school I was hardening my resolve. And one Saturday morning in 2012 it was on.

Each of us, as parents, have different beliefs and implore our teenagers to prioritize their time, energy and mindset in ways we feel are best for their development and happiness. Perhaps your beliefs are completely different from mine and, if so, that’s cool.

No matter your beliefs, as long as you conscientiously strive to help your teenager grow and thrive, I hope you go about parenting with complete resolve. I know I did.

I hope to never forget how I felt when Lauren came bursting into the room with such conviction (she never wavered). Simply put, that Saturday morning is when everything you read in this book started to be implemented with a new level of determination, intentionality, and ferocity.
